NAESC 2010 Midwest Regional Conference

NAESC Awards

Wednesday, August 11th, 2010

 All councils in the Midwest Region are invited to apply for the following awards to be presented at the 2010 regional conference. Applications are due by 11:59 pm Central Time September 12th, 2010.

To apply, please answer the questions associated with the award your council is applying for and send your application to gobst1@illinois.edu. Each award application must be 200 words or less (total word count), you may apply for multiple awards.

Best Council
This award is given to the best overall council at the conference
Describe your council's most noteworthy activities. In what ways is your council unique?
How does your council impact your school and the surrounding community?
Why does your council deserve to receive "Best Council"? What makes it stand above all others?

Best Social Event
This award is given to the council at the conference with the best social event.
What is your council's submission for Best Social Event?
Describe your event in detail. What planning did it entail?
Whom did it benefit?
What took place at the event itself?
What other information makes your event stand out as the best?

Best Campus Outreach Event
This award is given to the council at the conference with the best campus outreach event.
What is your council's submission for Best Campus Outreach Event?
Describe your event in detail. What planning did it entail?
Whom did it benefit?
What took place at the event itself?
What other information makes your event stand out as the best?

Most Improved Council
This award is given to the most improved council at the conference.
What has your council done in the last year to improve itself?
How does the state of your council this year compare with its state last year?
What future plans has your council made to continue its betterment?

Most Active NAESC Council
This award is given to the most active council in NAESC. Applicant councils must be NAESC members in good standing.
In what NAESC events and in what capacities has your council participated this year?
What NAESC national and regional positions do members of your council hold?
What have members of your council serving in NAESC positions done?

Best Publication/Website
This award is given to the council at the conference with the best publication or web site.
Describe the publication or web site's purpose, audience, and design.
What is the value of the publication or web site?
Please link to a digital copy or image of the publication or the website.

-Check that each application is below 200 words. Applications longer than 200 words will be rejected.
-Be sure that you have fully answered each question.
-Check the spelling and grammar of your responses.
This application must be submitted by 11:59 PM Central Time on September 12th.
Applications cannot be modified after they are submitted.

Early Registration will close on August 27th

Councils registering after August 27th will be assessed a late fee and should contact us via email.
